节水 / Water Conservation

鱼菜共生仅使用传统农业灌溉一英亩土地所需水量的 10%

Aquaponics uses only 1/10 the water needed to irrigate an acre of land

保土 / Soil Conservation

过度灌溉和强风可导致土壤侵蚀——鱼菜共生不需要土壤,从根本上避免了土壤流失

Over-watering and wind cause soil erosion — aquaponics requires no soil, eliminating soil loss

活动步骤 / Action Steps

  • 分成 4 组:2 组研究土壤保护,2 组研究水资源保护 / 4 groups: 2 soil, 2 water

Assign US growing regions/states. Research crop types, acreage, workforce, pests, food contribution, exports, hydroponic/aquaculture efforts, economic contribution. Then report as news teams on erosion problems and conservation efforts.
